Hello friends,

Thanks again for being here!

I’ve been on a creative high today, and I managed to smash out some good work, which feels great! They seem rare for me these days since becoming a father. We must ride those creative and inspired waves when we get them!

How are things going for you?

Here’s an insight, a question, and a quote I reflected on over the last week.

💡 Don’t change who you are for likes

We shouldn’t be changing ourselves to make others like us. It rarely works out in the long run, as we can only keep up the act for so long, and we are left drained and unhappy.

A better path – fine people who like you for who you are. That is a much more rewarding path!

❔We all get in our way.

You know how you say you want to achieve certain things. Like all these cool projects you are juggling and all the wonderful ways you will change the world.

But there is only one problem. You’re not actually doing them, are you?

In fact, you are actively blocking yourself. For some reason, YOU are the one doing the things which are preventing your success in these desired endeavours.

This powerful question is the first step to overcoming these mental blocks.

How are you stopping yourself from getting the things that you say you want?

💬A Quote to Ponder – When facing imagined troubles

“What I advise you to do is not be unhappy before the crisis comes.”
- Seneca

Cheers!

Who would have thought I would get this far? That’s a lot of writing, a lot of fun, and a lot of showing up when I don’t feel like it. And so my 100th letter. I’ve...

#99 – 12 Apr 2024 Welcome! It’s been almost four years since I got made redundant at my finance job during the pandemic. I can still feel the pain, the uncertainty, the unsettling feeling of being lost. But after that initial upheaval of my world turning upside down, it wasn’t so bad… What an incredible chapter of experimentation it kicked off — I became a writer and coach! Something I had been longing to do but could never find the time or bandwidth to do. I’m now eternally grateful for that...

You brush the sides of your tight jaw, then take a deep breath. You’ve been spinning around for hours inside your head. But you still can’t decide which option to choose? This isn’t just any choice, like what to eat for lunch. No, it’s a strategic decision. It can make or break your future. So...
